All my tips assume you are using a PC with Microsoft Windows. I am not being prejuduced against Apple or Linux, I just have seldom used these so I don't remember how they do it.
Most Blogs and web pages are fancier than mine. They also can be difficult to print properly, or to adjust the text to read easier.
What I have done is to use almost no web page code. I let your browser select the preffered text and I do not use columns, tables, or much of anything else.
So, how do you adjust your browser to see things better?
BROWSER - The most popular browsers are Internet Explorer and Firefox. I use Firefox, but these tips will work with most browsers.
TEXT SIZE - You can enlarge the text easily in most browsers. For most, you can select View from the top menu, then select Text Size. Here you will either pick a size or go larger or smaller. For some you can hold the Ctrl key and hit the + or - key once or more times. Hitting Ctrl 0 will reset. Firefox will increase the size of the text, which is nice. Some versions of explorer will zoom in on the text, which will move some of the text off the page, and will sometimes get blurry. You can also go into options and change the default settings to larger text or one of the other ways to make text larger.
BLOG - In my opinion, a Blog should read like a book, from begining to end.. Unfortunately, most show the latest entry at the top of the page, then the next oldest etc. There are ways to make a blog easier to navigate, but they all want to show the newest first. Although I keep a Blog, I prefer to show my stories in menu fashion so you can navigate easier.
COPY AND PASTE - In some pages, there may be a page address that you want to go to, but there is no link. The easiest way to use this is to highlight it using your mouse and do a copy and paste. Move the mouse to the beginning of the address, usually www. then press the right mouse button and drag the arrow across the address, highlighting it. Hold the Ctrl button and hit C to copy (Ctrl+C), then highlight the current address in the address bar using the mouse and hit Ctrl+V to paste it. This cut and paste method works in Word Processing and almost all other programs in the computer. Makes life a lot faster. To keep track of the many Blogs and other web pages I look at on a semi-regular basis, I keep a text file (a word processing file would work for this) and I copy and paste the address of the last daily entry or whatever into the document, then when I want to go to the site again, I copy and paste from the document to address bar. By the way, don't forget you can use the back arrow to go back the original page, it's an arrow in the upper left of the browser.
OPEN MULTIPLE PAGES - You can open multiple web pages at the same time by opening either a new window or new tab, depending on your prefference and your browser. Option one is to click on File, then New Tab. This will open a tab with a blank address area for you to put in your address. Another way, if there is a link to click on, is to put your arrow over the link (usually text that is underlined or a different color) and clicking the right mouse button, then move your arrow to Open Link In New Tab. This way you can bounce back and forth between multiple pages without waiting for them to reload every time.
FULL SCREEN - you can hit the F11 key or go into view and select full screen to see more of the page you are looking at, great with my photos.
